Sexual assault arrest occurs at Texas nursing home

Posted By Law Offices of Jeffrey C. Grass || 21-Jan-2014

Although any type of assault charges can have an impact on one's career, those who have been accused of sexually assaulting disabled patients at their place of employment could face serious professional consequences. On top of losing their current job, if they are convicted they may be unable to ever work in the field again. In Dallas and throughout Texas, these types of incidents continue to arise in nursing homes as some employees are accused of the sexual assault of a disabled person. Not only could the accused face professional problems, but they could experience difficulties in their personal life as well.

Although the details surrounding the case are not currently known, a nursing home employee in East Texas is facing charges pertaining to sexually assaulting a disabled person. The nursing home is based in Rusk.

The man was taken to the Cherokee County Jail due to these sexual assault charges and has been given a $250,000 bond. The nursing home has declined to provide additional information.

When someone has been accused of sexually assaulting an individual with a disability, the charges can interrupt their life in numerous ways. The charges could hit close to home, causing family members and friends to end their relationship with the accused person. Furthermore, significant financial problems can arise if one is unable to find work, on top of other long-term consequences. Due to the problems they may face following an arrest, it could be helpful for someone that has been charged with this crime to discuss the situation with a legal professional.
